He Restores My Soul

Image
Painting this piece was one of my rarest and deepest moments of reflective joy. As I worked, it felt as though I was being carried back in time, reliving the innocence and wonder of my childhood. The inspiration came from Psalm 23:2–3: “He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.” In every brushstroke, I felt the calm of still waters and the embrace of green pastures, a clear reminder that the Shepherd of our souls is always near, guiding, refreshing, and restoring us. This artwork is not just a painting; it is a testimony of God’s abiding presence, a call to rest in His care, and a reflection of the peace that only He can give.

The Talking Pot

Image
While returning to school after the Easter break, a friend suggested that I accompany him to a neighbouring village. Two other close friends joined us. I had heard about a pot that could speak but had never seen one before. My friend claimed they were common and assured us he could take us to see a talking pot. Upon arrival, I was ushered into what appeared to be a small living room. There, I saw something shaped like a pot, covered with a red cloth, adorned with markings that resembled two eyes, a mouth, and a nose. An old man welcomed me and beckoned me to sit down. He called his oracle by name three times, then turned to me and asked the oracle to speak directly to me. Suddenly, I heard a voice emanating from the area where the pot was placed. As it spoke, I noticed the part marked as the mouth moving in sync with the words I was hearing. It greeted me three times. To my astonishment, the pot called me by my middle name and my surname. By this point, I was visibly ner...

Moonlight Ritual

Image
Mixed media on hexagonal canvas In this dynamic and textured composition, figures emerge in rhythmic motion beneath a radiant moon. Bold impasto strokes in red, white, and earthy tones evoke a ceremonial dance—timeless and universal. The swirling forms suggest both physical movement and spiritual presence, as if the dancers are communing with unseen forces. A luminous sky and fiery ground complete the interplay of light and energy, anchoring the viewer in a moment of sacred transformation. This piece invites reflection on ritual as a bridge between the earthly and the celestial—a celebration of unity, spirit, and ancestral echoes under the watchful eye of the moon.

Sanctuary of Learning

Image
Inspired by a quiet moment outside a school gate, this painting captures the grandeur of a historic building that once served as a medieval place of worship and now stands as a vibrant centre of education for over 1,500 pupils. The artist, moved by the architectural splendor and the building’s transformation from sacred sanctuary to scholastic stronghold, uses earthy tones and luminous crosses to honour its spiritual roots. Beneath a swirling, star-filled night sky, the structure becomes a symbol of continuity—where faith, knowledge, and legacy converge. This work invites viewers to reflect on how places evolve over time, yet remain deeply rooted in purpose and inspiration.
